Land Sports in Pattaya

Pattaya has image of a water sports hub. However, it has lot to offer even when it comes to land based sports. Tourists can enjoy games like horse riding, tennis, motor racing, bowling, snooker, badminton etc in the travel hotspot. Needless to say that any visit to Pattaya has loads of fun.

Motor Racing
Motor racing is quite popular in Pattaya which even holds an international car racing event once a year. Bhira international Circuit is a venue for staging car and motorcycle racing. Local races are held here on Saturdays and Sundays. Formula 3 racing is held on the 2.4km long racetrack and one could drive one’s own vehicle round the track for a fee. The racetrack is situated at Pattaya-Rayong Highway, a few miles off the town.

Pattaya Speedway is another racetrack, having separate tracks for expert and amateur bikers. It is located on Thepprasit Road, which connects Sukhumvit Highway and Pattaya-Na Jomtien Road, about 5km off Pattaya.

Go-Carts
Pattaya Go-cart Speedway, located at Mini Siam, has 400 and 700-metre tracks where one can enjoy go-carts. For elaborate experience, one could visit Bhira International Circuit.

Horse Riding
Horse Sport Centre, located in neighborhood of Bhira International Circuit, is a nice place to have riding lessons. One can enjoy mountain and jungle rides on Australian thoroughbreds. Horse-riding in scenic places is always a pleasure.

Tennis
Upscale hotels have tennis courts within their compound. Although hotel guests get preference, outside visitors are also allowed for a fee. Tennis coaches could also be arranged if one asks. So, during your trip to Pattaya, you could enjoy some entertaining tennis too.

Jogging
People habitual to jog seldom miss it. In Pattaya, one can jog along the promenades facing Pattaya Bay, and along Jomtien Beach. Pattaya Fitness Park, situated near the summit of Pattaya hill, is a popular place for jogging. You could limit your jogging activity to your hotel tracks too.

Squash and Bowling
Pattaya has squash courts of the likes of Cherry Tree Pub on the Siam Country Club Golf Course road, the Dusit Resort Pattaya, and Ambassador City, Jomtien. For bowling, you could visit Pattaya Bowl on Pattaya Road 2, and OD Bowl in South Pattaya.
